Mr. Diver is an associate attorney originally from Redondo Beach, California. While attending the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Diver earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. During his time at the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Diver was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, where he held various leadership roles, and was named second captain of the University of Oklahoma Rugby Club.
After receiving his undergraduate degree, Mr. Diver traveled to Pennsylvania to train and compete in the Collegiate Rugby Championship for the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Diver continued his athletic career when he was selected for the College Rugby All-Stars team and competed for a USA Rugby All American nomination.
Finally pursuing his passion for the law, Mr. Diver attended the Oklahoma City University School of Law on a merit scholarship, where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, Criminal Law Association, and Secretary to the Oklahoma Bar Association Law Student Division. While at OCU Law, Mr. Diver earned multiple distinctions including the Faculty Honor Roll, the Dean’s List, and was awarded the Pro Bono Service Award for his outstanding legal work in the community.
Early in his career, Mr. Diver chose to study intellectual property rights in Lausanne, Switzerland and international criminal and human rights law in The Hague, Netherlands. While abroad, Mr. Diver participated in criminal proceedings in the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Mr. Diver was also a clinical student with OCU Law’s Oklahoma Innocence Project, where he investigated wrongful convictions in Oklahoma and litigated current cases with credible evidence of factual innocence.
Mr. Diver began working as a law clerk with the Oklahoma City law firm Phillips, Coventon, Quillian, & Banner, PLLC during his second year of law school. During that time, Mr. Diver gained valuable experience in all stages of the criminal process for various misdemeanor and felony cases ranging from arraignment to dismissal or jury acquittal. In addition, Mr. Diver has been involved in drafting successful appeals to the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals and the United States 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Diver is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma state courts, the United States 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and all federal district courts in the state of Oklahoma.
